International Day of Clean Energy

For the International Day of Clean Energy, an insightful and informative session was conducted by Dr. Tauqeer Abbas, the Associate Dean of SBA School of Science and Engineering LUMS, at Irshad Hall Packages Limited. More than 20 employees from all across Packages Group including Packages Convertors Limited, Bulleh Shah Packaging Limited, Starch Pack, PREPL, and DIC Pakistan participated in the session.
26th January was declared by UN General Assembly as the “International Day of Clean Energy” to promote awareness and set up action for an equitable and inclusive transition to clean energy for the benefit of people and the environment. This day highlights the significance of collaborative effort in combating climate change, as well as the need for a global shift towards cleaner sources, focusing on the role of renewable energy in reducing carbon emissions and transitioning towards a more sustainable energy future.
Packages Group plays its role by actively exploring avenues for deployment of clean and green energy sources with more than 40% of local energy needs being met by solar and biomass equivalent to 12MW capacity and 30MW capacity respectively.
